Manufacturing Manager
Reports to: General Manager
Advanced Cyclotron Systems Inc. (ACSI) is a growing business and is looking for an experienced individual to take on the role of Manufacturing Manager. Management experience in an Engineering and/or Manufacturing environment is preferred, as is experience with ERP systems. Good organizational/time management skills and the ability to work under pressure to achieve strict deadlines are a must.
Primary Duties include but not limited to:
- Plan and prepare production schedules for each cyclotron project to achieve contracted completion dates , as well as development of production reporting procedures to facilitate in the analysis of data and information on each project
- Assist the General Manager , as needed, with cash flow forecasting for each cyclotron project, as well as the analysis of cost and quality data
- Assist Project Managers/Engineers with schedule updating and resource allocation
- Coordinate, between Engineering, Purchasing and Manufacturing, the managed release of the various parts and assemblies of the cyclotron system for expeditious procurement and receiving of all purchased items, (including cyclotron sub-assemblies and major assemblies). This includes close coordination with ACSI inventory staff for the receiving of inventory and the allocation and issuance of parts to cyclotron projects using ACSI’s ERP system.
- Facilitate the coordination of personnel, including subcontractors, required for cyclotron assembly, test, disassembly, and shipping processes
- Assist in the enhancement of the ISO9001 and ISO13485 Quality Assurance system
- Logistic support, which includes shipping, insurance, installation, commissioning and testing of cyclotron systems

Cyclotron Operations Engineer
SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for principally designing, operating, commissioning, and servicing cyclotrons in our factory and at customers’ sites globally. Other tasks include mechanical design and detailing, assembly, and testing. The applicant must be prepared to travel internationally.
DUTIES:
Independently or in collaboration with other members of the ACSI engineering group the Cyclotron Engineer will be responsible for:
· Designing and building equipment to improve operation of the cyclotrons
· Performing repair and complex troubleshooting of Cyclotrons.
· Operating the cyclotrons during the commissioning
· Performing after hours on call support to the customers.
· Other duties as assigned by Supervisor
EDUCATION/SKILLS:
· A degree in engineering/ physics or a related field and will be an expert in particle accelerators.
· Experience in fields related to cyclotron technology: high vacuum, ion sources, RF systems, radiation, magnets, and control systems or in operating cyclotrons.
· A background in physics, mechanical design, or AutoCad would be an asset.
· Copies of all certification is required (translated where necessary)
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
· Ability to communicate effectively in English
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
· Fast paced environment with priorities that often change to meet current priorities
· Travel to customer sites is required, a valid passport, ability to travel internationally
· Some work is conducted in a machine shop where safety equipment such as safety glasses and safety footwear must be worn.
· Casual warehouse type environment
· Must be legally entitled to work in Canada and prepared to travel abroad
