QA and Customer Services Specialist

p>ACSI is looking for a QA and Customer Services Specialist to work with the operations, production and engineering teams to develop procedures, assists in continuous improvement projects and supports the overall enhancement of quality-related systems to improve performance, effectiveness and efficiency.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Administers and controls the Quality Management System to maintain the ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 13485:2016 compliance.
  • Identify manufacturing processes to develop and implement quality control procedures.
  • Confer with management and engineering staff to determine quality and reliability standards.
  • Lead internal quality audits.
  • Co-lead external ISO audits for compliance with 9001:2015 and 13485:2016.
  • Coordinates and leads semi-annual Quality Management Review Meetings
  • Recommend modifications of existing quality or production procedures and standards.
  • Identify product testing at all levels of manufacturing and assembly.
  • Maintain strict and thorough documentation for assigned areas.
  • Review manufacturing and design processes using Lean principals and other analytics.
  • Maintain knowledge of relevant regulatory agencies, and the policies, codes, standards and regulations that are applicable to ACSI’s products.
  • Conduct any additional quality-related tasks as required.
  • Assists with shipping and receiving as required.
  • Assists with spare parts / customer orders planning as required.
  • Assist with administrative duties as required.

EDUCATION/SKILLS

  • Associates degree in an Engineering Technology discipline or related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and Outlook.
  • Very strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work alone and under limited supervision, while being team orientated.
  • Ability to lead, influence and drive results in activities involving cross-functional teams and departments.
  • Forward-thinking, proactive and continual improvement mind set.
  • Strong familiarity with ISO 9001:2015.
  • Familiarity with ISO 13485:2016 is an asset.
  • Experience with regulatory organizations and standards.
  • ISO 9001:2015, ISO 13485:2016, SAE, ANSI, ASME, ASSE, ASTM, CE, CSA, CNSC, UL, etc
  • Experience working with the Quality Management System Software is an asset.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

  • Ability to communicate effectively in English

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Fast paced environment with frequently changing priorities.
  • Ability to work independently
  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
