Radiochemist/Targetry Engineer
Responsibilities and Duties:
As team member of the ACSI Radiochemistry and Targetry Group you will be involved in planning and facilitating manufacturing of cyclotron targetry and radiochemical systems, installation and commissioning of equipment and implementation of new designs. Provide ongoing customer support. You will also play an important role in the ACSI R&D program; participating in and/or leading design of new targetry systems and radiochemistry modules, their testing and improvements. Coordinate and supervise work of technicians, oversee and managing production and R&D projects.
Essential requirements:
- University or equivalent degree in chemistry, physics or engineering
- Minimum 3 years experience related to design and operation of accelerator targetry and/or radiochemistry system
- Excellent technical and computer skills
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team or independently
- Must be prepared to travel
Experience at least in one the following areas:
- Accelerator targetry design, in particular solid targets
- Plating and other methods of solid target preparation
- Design and operation of automated systems and modules for processing and synthesis of radiopharmaceuticals
- Radiopharmacy and knowledge of GMP regulations
- Cyclotron operation and maintenance
- Mechanical design, using Autocad, Inventor or similar programs
