ACSI TR19 cyclotron to further Europe’s research in nuclear medical radioisotopes
Vancouver, BC Canada – (October 4, 2010) – Advanced Cyclotron Systems Inc. (ACSI) a leading provider of cyclotron solutions, announced that it has sold a TR19 variable energy (14 – 19 MeV) cyclotron to Horia Hulubei National Institute of Physics and Nuclear Engineering (IFIN-HH), Magurele-Ilfov, Romania.

ACSI’s TR19 cyclotrons are the highest performing radioisotope production cyclotrons in the field boasting >300 microamps of extracted beam current. The 14 to 19 MeV variable energy cyclotrons are used for the production of PET (Positron Emission Tomography) radioisotopes including F-18, N-13, O-15, and C-11 as well as research isotopes.
